Mislim da je naslov sasvim prikladan za opis današnjice. Sve je ispreturano i uništeno do same srži. Tinejdžeri imaju retardirane idole, osobe kojima se dive a koje to ne zaslužuju itd. Recimo da sam morao da pišem esej na temu "Being a Global Citizen" zbog projekta Connecting Classrooms u kome učestvuje par gimnazija iz Srbije, pa i moja. Konkretno, ko pročita esej slobodno neka prokomentariše. Da li je naša zemlja stvarno toliko srozana što se tiče umetnosti. Na svakom koraku oni koji imaju sve, samo ne umetnost a pokušavaju da je predstavljaju. Na našoj sceni pola pevača ne može uživo da održi stabilnu intonaciju, kamo li da otpeva 3 različita tona. Zašto je to tako?Da li je moguće da ljudi razmišljaju na taj način da je bitno da grudi vise do poda i izvođač bude go. Ono u suštini, nije da meni to smeta, ali moglo bi malo vratiti umetnost. Ljudi su se promenili. Bitno je da sada svi budu isti, nema razlike. Sve neko sivilo i mrtvilo. Dosadno je živeti na taj način. Uostalom, sve se da pročitati u mom eseju. Da, bizarno je što je esej na engleskom jeziku, a pisan na času srpskog jezika. No dobro. To me, living in Serbia means no way to the eternal peace and ballance I
am searching for. For some reasons I can not express myself and what I
have inside because of the stereotypes, ignorance and lack of tolerance
in our societies. Sometimes I have that weird unexplainable feeling that
tells me I must go on with what I intend to do in life, sometimes I
think I have to do something that will be good enough to feed my future
familly and pay the bills. It's the same as trying to soar high above the clouds while someone is
trying to pull you down to earth, suck the life out ouf you and all the
colors that you have putting you in gray layer of people in our world.
The position of my dreams to come true in Serbia is as same as worthless
trying of fire to survive while being suppresed by carbon dyoxide. To
my needs and wishes, Serbian mentality seems leathel. It may seem some
of use are real citizens, with rights and possibilites to advance, but
most of our time we feel like being cut out of the whole world. We don't
get to have concerts and other big events. Meaning of being global
citizen should give us all the rights and obligations, but every year it
seems more and more impossible thing to do. How can I be a global
citizen when I could hardly live from the job I would like to do and I
could be good at? The state of my country hardly pleases me. If you ever
try to step up, be different, you will be isolated by millions of the
same people. Their souls are the same. Although their face masks seem
unbreakable, people should take them off and show what they really are.
Some of us have true colors more beuatifull than the rainbow. Breaking
the prototype of how people should be to be considered „proper“ would
bring more intensity and happiness to our lives. All the songs are same,
all of us dress the same way, all of us are suppresed by bigger people
who bring nothing but darkness to our lives. We need more creativity!
More tolerance! Being a citizen of Serbia could suppress all uniqueness
you may possess. Seems that all we do is repeating our actions just
because of the whole community. We have the fear of being rejected.
People can't live just because their skin color is not the same. It's
time to accept being different and hold each other's hands. Nations hate
nations even witouth knowing the opposite side. It's time to leave the chains of past, give your hand to others. All
that creatures like us need to survive is love in support. Time is to
show who you really are, show what you're made of. We are all beautifull
in our way because we are born this way, at least that's what my
favourite artists says and I belive in that. It's time to be different,
but still global citizen of this world. Why would I be the same as
crowd?
